Welcome to the Department of Neurology!
The Department of Neurology at Nippon Medical School hospital provides intensive care giving our patients access to a wide range of services, from common to rare neurological conditions and diseases. For the best care and treatments, comprehensive evaluation are applied, including EEG, electrophysiological examination, ECHO, MRI, MRA, CT, 3D CTA, and SPECT.
With highly advanced Stroke Care Unit (SCU), we are committed to offer “24 hours a day, 7 days a week” high quality care including IV-tPA and Neuroendovascular therapy, via advanced methods and diagnostic procedures. Each year, more than 500 patients with stroke are admitted to our specialized unit.
-Cerebrovascular disorders such as cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage
-Neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson's disease
-Spinocerebellar degeneration, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, demyelinating diseases such as multiple sclerosis
-Neuroinfectious diseases such as meningitis
-Peripheral neuropathies such as Guillain-Barre syndrome
-Muscular diseases such as polymyositis and dystrophinopathy
-Neuromuscular junction disease such as myasthenia gravis
-Cognitive disorder such as Alzeimer's disease
-Neurological disease in general, including headaches and epilepsy.
