Quality Medical Practice through Sensible Management

Chiba Hokusoh Hospital was opened right here in this very place back in June 1993. Our goal was to create an internationalized medical city that will also serve as the central hospital of the area. Back then, this hospital was the only university hospital in Japan that was built in a “village “. This created a rare value in itself; however, as years went by, this village has rapidly outgrown even being a “ town” and is now a big “city”, fulfilling its responsibilities in many areas of medicine in various ways.

Currently we are permitted to hold 600 beds; we specialize in more than 20 areas of medicine (including all the branches of internal medicine) and have access to providing almost all kinds of medical treatment. We have a very strong team of healthcare specialists as well as state-of-the-art medical facilities and are committed to offering highly advanced medical treatment. Other than being designated as disaster base hospital and cancer medical treatment coordination and cooperation hospital, we also have national top-level doctor copter business.

Japan Council for Quality Health Care (JCQHC) accredited us as “Hospital Evaluation Standard Ver.6”. In 2012, we were also selected as one of “ DPC Group II Hospitals “ from The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare for medical service fee structure.

In addition, our medical school is committed to providing excellent education and research activities in order to contribute to the improvement of the overall health of the community. There are many research doctors, medical students, students from Pharmaceutical department and also from various specialist schools that are related to medicine studying here. We also have many paramedics studying here. It is our belief that in order to provide the community with the best medical treatment, we need people who are of best quality as well. It is the people who make things happen. In order to ensure this, we put much emphasis on communication within the various departments inside the hospital as well as maintaining close coordination and cooperation with the other medical institutions in the community. We also strive hard to establish great communications between hospital staff and patients.
